Trevor Lloyd loves telling stories.
Trevor Lloyd born in Mataura and grew up near Cromwell. He graduated from Otago Medical School in 1976, and has worked in England, Vanuatu, and around New Zealand, as a GP, rural hospital doctor, researcher and teacher. For the last 26 years he has been a Senior Medical Officer at Dunstan Hospital. He lives on a small farm near Bannockburn. Trevor has studied creative writing through Massey University and has a Graduate Diploma in Creative Writing and a Master of Arts degree in English. He has won prizes in several short story competitions.
Trevor is interested in words and ideas as well as science, has spent most of his career writing in the clinical record about interesting things that have happened to other people, has been lucky enough to travel to medical educational events in distant places, and sees writing the stories he comes across as highly complementary to his medical practice.
